Through a partnership with Every Orphan’s Hope, GEMS constructed a duplex-style house that has become the home of seven children and their new momma, Florence. In May of 2007 a team from GEMS was at the house to welcome the new family as they moved into their new home. Almost a full year later, the team was there again and was able to watch as the electricity was hooked up for the very first time.

In the spring of 2010 the children joined with the kids from three other orphan homes for a giant birthday celebration. Each house preformed a self-directed skit based on a Bible story, and the children sang songs complete with motions.

Each of the children in The House that GEMS Built continues to grow and develop. They are filled with joy and contentment and are so thankful for the opportunities they have.
