The House that GEMS Built

Family in the House the GEMSA Built

One of the initial partnerships GEMS developed in Zambia was with the ministry of Every Orphan’s Hope. In May of 2007, The House that GEMS Built emerged from this partnership when a team from North America constructed a duplex-style house that has become the home of seven children and their new momma, Florence.

Each of the children in The House that GEMS Built continues to grow and thrive. Their bonds as a family are evident, and they are thankful for the opportunities they have.

In June of 2011, the first work team from The Esther Schoolvisited The House that GEMS Built, met all the children and the momma, and enjoyed sharing a puppet show with them.
