The Brick Campaign
The Esther School is being built brick by brick. And, we need everyone’s help! Consider giving a loved one a meaningful gift by donating a brick to The Esther School in his or her name. We need 180,000 bricks to make the school a reality! Each brick costs $9.00 US and $9.80 CN. You can donate online or by filling out this form and mailing cash or a check. Then, simply download a gift card to personalize and present to your friends or family. Or, learn more about Building the Dream in the lives of North American girls! |

Education is the hope of every child in Zambia. It is what they want more than anything. It is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and ending the widespread exploitation of children. |

In August 2008 Chief Bunda Bunda of Chongwe, Zambia donated 25 acres of land to house The Esther School for orphaned and underprivileged children. Construction is currently underway, and you can view a photo diary that will be updated as the school is built so you can see the progress! Incorporating sustainable practices, The Esther School will become totally self-sufficient and will:
Children attending the school will be introduced to, learn about, and become responsible for many of the self-sustaining components of the facility. This will generate income for the school, produce food for the children, and teach them valuable skills that will further prepare them to live successfully in their culture. The school will have a faculty dorm where teachers from the US and Canada will live. These teachers will work alongside of Zambian teachers to offer the best educational approach. Buy a brick or find out additional ways you can get involved with The Esther School and GEMS The Call to Africa. |
