Conference Airport Shuttle

Transportaion to Bethel University The Local Conference Committee will be providing shuttle service from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, Lindbergh Terminal. Conference hostesses will greet attendees at the GEMS Hospitality Booth which will be located in the Lindbergh Terminal's Baggage Claim Level. Airport shuttles will be available on both Wednesday and Thursday as requested on your Travel Confirmation Cards. Shuttles will depart the airport on the hour, every hour from 1:00pm until 11:00pm on Wednesday and from 8:00am until 6:00pm on Thursday. A one-way shuttle fee of $10.00 US per person will be collected upon boarding. The Local Conference Committee must receive ALL Travel Confirmation Cards no later than June 15, 2010 in order for airport shuttle service to be arranged.
Transportaion to the MSP International Airport Following the closing of conference on Sunday, the Local Conference Committee will offer two return airport shuttles. Shuttles will depart Bethel at 12:30 pm and 2:00pm. Please allow 30 minutes for travel time from Bethel to the airport and 1 ½ - 2 hours for security and check-in when scheduling your return flight. A one-way shuttle fee of $10.00 US per person will be collected upon boarding. Note: there will be NO return shuttles to the airport before the close of the Conference! Sorry, no exceptions!

Arriving by Air |
The Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport is conveniently located in the heart of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and is just a 30 minute drive from Bethel University. The MSP International Airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Please note that flights arriving and departing from the Terminal 2 require taking a tram to/from the main terminal, Terminal 1. Please add an additional 25 minutes to your travel time if you arrive/depart from the Terminal 2.

The GEMS Conference will officially begin with dinner at 5:00pm on Thursday, July 22 and will end by 12:00pm on Sunday, July 25. Please plan to stay until the Conference is completed and plan your return flight times accordingly.

Minnesota by Train |
The Empire Builder Amtrak route crosses the state between the southeast and northwest borders, with stops in Winona, Red Wing, Minneapolis/St. Paul, St. Cloud, Staples, Detroit Lakes, and Fargo-Moorhead. This route runs between Chicago and Seattle or Portland.

www.Megabus.com and www.greyhound.com provides express bus service to Minneapolis/St. Paul from several Midwest cities.

International Travel |
If you are a Canadian citizen you will be required to have a passport or secure document when entering the United States by air. If you are driving across the border there are several options for required documents: passport, enhanced drivers license, NEXUS, FAST/Expres and SENTRI enrollment cards.
