What You Need:
2 to 5 sheets of different colored construction or cardstock paper (8 1/2 x 11)
Scissors and a paper cutter
Ruler
Single hole punch
Glue stick
6 inch length of ribbon

Steps:
1. Cut the paper into rectangles that are 2 inches wide and 7 inches long.

2. Take one of the paper rectangles and punch about 5 holes (the holes don’t need to be punched in a pattern).

3. Glue a second rectangle directly underneath the hole punched rectangle (you should be able to see the new color through the holes). *If you chose to use two pieces of paper, skip to step 7.

4. Once the glue has dried, punch about 5 holes through the two layers. These holes should be in different spots than the first set of holes.

5. Glue a third rectangle directly underneath the hole punched rectangle (you should be able to see two colors through the holes).

6. Continue steps 4 and 5 with the remaining pieces of paper.

7. Punch one hole in the middle of the top of your bookmark (the hole should be about ½ inch from the top and 1 inch from each side).

8. Thread the ribbon through the hole making sure that equal lengths of the ribbon are on either side.

9. Glue the ribbon together.
