What You Need:
• Craft foam in various colors
• Scissors
• Glue
• Pipe Cleaners
• Googly Eyes
• Pencils

Step 1: Cut a butterfly shape from a sheet of craft foam (see pattern). Cut smaller shapes of contrasting colors to decorate the wings. |

Step 2: Fold your butterfly shape in two. Along the fold, cut two vertical slits measuring approximately 1/4 inch long and 1/4 inch apart. These are the slits through which you will slide your pencil. |

Step 3: For your butterfly antennas, cut a 6-inch length from a pipe cleaner. Fold it in two and curl the tips inward. |

Step 4: To assemble your butterfly, glue small shapes onto your butterfly's wings. |

Step 5: Glue the antenna to the back of your butterfly and glue on googly eyes. |

Step 1: Cut a frog head from a light green sheet of craft foam. Cut a frog body from a darker green sheet of craft foam. Cut out four legs from the same green (see pattern). |

Step 2: Cut a wide mouth shape from a black sheet of craft foam. Cut 12 small dots from the same black craft foam for the frog's fingertips. |

Step 3: Cut five small dots from the light green craft foam to decorate the frog's body. |

Step 4: Before you assemble your frog, fold your oval frog body in two. Along the fold cut two vertical slits, measuring approximately 1/4 inch long and 1/4 inch apart. These are the slits through which you will insert your pencil. |

Step 5: To assemble your frog, glue the google eyes and the mouth onto the head. Glue the head onto the body. Glue the four legs to the back of your frog's body. |

Step 6: Finally, add dots to the legs and body, making sure they do not cover up the slits. |
