| Roy Conwell grabbed the phone and called Betty Greene. He had spent hours riding his tractor through the thick mud to make this call. His daughter had a peanut lodged in her throat and could barely breathe. In Sudan, Africa, where he and his wife worked as missionaries, the doctors and hospitals were miles away. |
“My daughter has a peanut stuck in her throat. We need to get to a hospital,” he told Betty. Betty boarded her airplane and flew to pick up Ron and his daughter. She then flew them over 320 miles to the nearest hospital. A specialist performed an operation and removed the peanut. Roy Conwell’s little girl was on her way to a full recovery, and he couldn’t thank Betty enough. |
