What is ACTS?
The Area Counselor Training and Support Program is a method of offering valuable training and support to counselors in their own communities. Two key leaders from each area are trained and equipped to organize these events (the Area Coordinator) and deliver helpful training (the Leadership Trainer). Both the Area Coordinator and the Leadership Trainer receive annual training on new materials, new workshops, and current trends that impact girls.

Equip, encourage, and inspire GEMS counselors, Club Coordinators, and other support staff to build an effective, relational ministry in their churches and other Christian organizations.

To promote and foster the development of new GEMS Girls' Clubs in all areas.

To create opportunities for girls in individual clubs to participate with other GEMS in large group events.
What area are you in?
Within the thirty-six different areas, two workshops are conducted annually and one large-group event for girls is offered every other year. Check out your state or province to meet your Area Coordinator and Leadership Trainer. Email them and ask about the next training opportunity near you, or check out the calendar for upcoming events!
