This coed curriculum is designed to help build a firm faith foundation in the lives of four and five year olds while also introducing them to club life. Each lesson seeks to teach kids about God and how to live a life that pleases Him. Using a learning center approach, Kingdom Kids allows children to move to different activity areas and is great for churches with family night ministries, MOPS or moms’ morning out programs, as well as home-school and other settings. Providing two years of programming, Kingdom Kids is co-published by GEMS Girls’ Clubs and Cadets for boys.

Seeking to enrich the lives of girls in first through third grade, the Awareness Level curriculum features five exciting activity books. Each book contains ten lessons centered on different Bible stories as well as a unique manipulative that effectively reinforces a specific concept. The activity books all have a corresponding Counselor Helps that include Bible story teaching aids, life application activities, crafts, games, and service ideas. Awareness Level GEMS receive a badge for each activity book they complete and, in addition, have the opportunity to earn the six extra badges presented in the Awareness Badges publication as well as the Annual Theme Badge.

Sparkle Magazine is published six times a year and is geared toward Awareness Level girls. With Bible lessons, crafts, recipes, stories, and articles related to the Annual Theme, girls love receiving this magazine and counselors are well prepared to help girls with the teaching ideas found in the Connections publication.

Reaching out to girls in seventh and eighth grade, the Advanced Level program is a very important aspect of GEMS. Seeking to encourage spiritual growth and foster self-esteem, the Advanced Level curriculums utilize a small group format that offers girls a safe environment for sharing their feelings, concerns, frustrations, and questions. Finishing Touches! is a contemporary Christian charm course that includes seventeen full-color talk sheets focusing on different aspects of inner and outer beauty. An alternative curriculum, Getting Dusty, contains twenty-four talk sheets that speak directly to our culture’s influence on girls – helping them know how to choose God’s plan for their lives. Counselor Helps are available for both curriculums and aid counselors in expanding small group discussions and challenging their girls.

SHINE brightly Magazine may also be used at the Advanced Level. Published nine times a year, SHINE brightly includes three theme-related Bible lessons in each issue as well as service project ideas, stories, crafts, and more. Counselors also have access to Connections, a publication that offers ideas for teaching the ideas presented in the magazine

Typically offered to girls in ninth through twelfth grades, the CIT program allows girls who have completed the various levels of GEMS to continue on in the ministry and develop strong leadership skills. CITs use a manual that allows them to explore their personality and take inventory of their specific talents and gifts. Each CIT is partnered with a mentor who helps her apply her skills so she can assist in a variety of ways within club.

Each year, GEMS chooses a specific passage of Scripture for girls to explore during the season. The Annual Theme is woven throughout the year in a variety of ways including a badge study, a theme night, and lessons in both SHINE brightly and Sparkle which helps girls learn how to apply the theme to their lives. Multiple activities including Bible lessons, devotionals, songs, creative movements, games, crafts, and service projects are all developed in an effort to make the theme relevant and applicable to girls.
